Specialty Brushes

The following brushes are used in specific techniques not handled by more common brush styles and they all have short handles.

The Oval Mop is used in watercolour and is great for wash colour loading.

The pure Kolinsky Sable Retouch brushes are for extra fine spotting or details. They have an easy-grip short, triangular, black laquered handle.

The Triangular brush has a triangular head for three colour loading.

The Dagger brush is used for long ribbon lines.

The natural hair Deerfoot Stipler is popular for fur and foliage techniques.

The Short Bright Synthetic Mongoose for oils and acrylics offers greater control than a regular bright brush.

The Short Round Synthetic Mongoose brush for oils and acrylics offers greater control than a regular round brush. It is great for pouncing/stippling and dry brush techniques.

The Square Comb is a nylon hair brush with a square head. It has good seperation betwwen hairs for hair lines and other special techniques.

The Liner brush has a long gold sable synthetic hair and is great for fine lines, details, and lettering.

The Mini Mop is an pony hair brush used for acrylics and oils. It is used to soften and smooth lines and brush strokes.

The Tight Spot Detailer has an angled handle at the tip to get into hard to reach spaces. It's made with soft synthetic fibres and is great for model painting and other unique projects.

The Monogram brush is made with synthetic fibres and is the right size for signing your name to your artwork.
