Paint PalettesA paint palette is a rigid, flat surface on which a painter arranges and mixes their paints. A palette is usually made of wood, plastic, ceramic, or other hard, nonporous material, and can vary greatly in size and shape. The most commonly known type of painter's palette is made of a thin wood board designed to be held in the artist's hand and rest on the artist's arm. Watercolor palettes are generally made of plastic or porcelain with rectangular or wheel format with built in wells and mixing areas for colors. Masterson's Sta-Wet Sealed PalettesNever waste dried out paint again! Masterson's Sta-Wet Palette System involves a specially designed sponge and palette paper sheets, enclosed in a plastic tray with a lid, to keep paint moistened and workable for extended periods of time. The sponge keeps the paint moistened while you work so it won't dry out too quickly, and when not in use, the lid seals air out, and moisture in, so your paint is still wet and workable the next time you're ready to paint! Palettes come with everything you need (palette box, sponge, and sheets). Replacement sheets and sponges are also available separately. Click here for more information and pricing.
