Demco Acrylic Mediums

Demco Economy Gesso

Demco Economy Gesso Primer is a surface preparation that can be used on a multitude of surfaces for the application of a variety of paints such as oils, acrylics, temperas etc. Once dry, Demco Economy Gesso will remain semi-fexible and will not yellow. May be used on canvas, paper, fabric, wood etc.. For a more granular texture, apply two coats.

Demco Artist Gesso

Demco Artist Quality Gesso Primer is a surface preparation for a multitude of surfaces for the application of a variety of paints such as oils, acrylics, temperas etc. Offering excellent opacity, great coverage, and a smooth, velvety, toothy surface that is perfect for painting. Once dry, Demco Artist Gesso will remain semi-fexible and will not yellow. May be used on canvas, paper, fabric, wood etc. Available in Black and White.

Demco Acrylic Gloss Gel

Designed to increase color transparency, shine, volume and drying time. Helps maintain shape. Ideal for creating textures with brushes and painting knives. Its exceptional volume retention properties allow you to incorporate lightweight objects into your project. Add a little gel medium to acrylic colors to simulate the consistency of oil paint. Shiny finish

Demco Pouring Medium

This liquid acrylic mediums has an exceptionally fluid consistency. It can be mixed with all types of acrylic-based paints and mediums as well as water-based inks, allowing colour to be poured and drip-applied. Dries to a hard, clear, high-gloss finish.

Demco Acrylic Medium & Varnish

These 100%  acrylic polymer medium & varnishes can me mixed with all acrylic paints and mediums. Can be used to extend the colour, as an adhesive or varnish. Accentuates colour intesity, increases transparency and fluidity and improves adhesion. Dries to a clear, non-tacky, hard and flexible surface and resists dirt and moisture once dry. Use as a final indelible varnish (not removable, not a "true" varnish). Not for use over oil paints. Application: Add this medium into your acrylic paint or apply as a final varnish over dry acrylic paint. Varnish surface and environment must be clean and dust free. Acrylic paintings must be completely dry and cured for a minimum of 48 hours before varnishing. Thicker applications may take more time to cure. Apply with a brush or spray. Rolling or sponging application is not recommended.

Demco Silicone Oil

Demco Silicone Oil is an additive commonly used in acrylic pour paintings to achieve the "cellular" effect. Add 3-4 drops of Silicone Oil to the paint mix (1/2 cup DEMCO Pouring Medium + a few drops of Fluid Acrylics + 3-4 drops of Silicone Oil) and pour onto the painting surface. Use a palette knife to take off the top layer and release the cells. Once dry, wipe surface with a dry cloth to remove Silicone Oil excess.

Demco Latex-Free Liquid Frisket

Demco liquid frisked is commonly used with watercolours, drawing inks, India ink and coloured pencils to conserve areas on the paper. Applied with a paintbrush, it dries within 15 minutes. Simply remove by rubbing finger without ripping the paper. This liquid frisket is latex free for people who are allergic to latex.
