Jacquard Procion MX Fabric Dyes2/3oz bottles - $7.85 eachUse on cotton, rayon, linen and paper. Use it for tie-dye, vat dyeing, batik, airbrush, garment dyeing, screen-printing, spatter painting, gradation dyeing for quilters and more. This cold water concentrated dye, which you add to tap water, is the most vivid of all dyes for cellulose fibers. Procion dyes are permanent, colorfast and very washable. Typically, one 2/3 oz. bottle will dye more than 1 pound of fabric - very bright colors will require more dye, pastel color will require less. Forty colors available in 2/3 oz bottles. Fix with soda ash. (Some colours also available by Special Order in 8 oz., 1lb and 5 lb sizes)
Jacquard Soda AshA mild alkali that promotes the chemical reaction between Procion MX fiber reactive dye and cellulose fiber. One pound of soda ash is required to activate and "set" Procion dye for approximately 15 T-shirts. Soda Ash 1 lb Bag - $7.00 Jacquard UreaUrea helps to lengthen the reaction time in dyeing for more brilliant colors. It attracts moisture from the air to keep the fabric damp for a longer stretch of time. Urea 1 lb Bag - $7.75 Jacquard AlumWhen marbling, use Alum to pre-treat fabric for clear transfer of designs. One cup of alum is dissolved in water along with four teaspoons of Calgon, to create a solution for submerging the fabric. Wring out the fabric without rinsing and allow to air dry before marbling. 1 lb Bag - $20.70 Jacquard CarrageenanCarageenan is a gelling agent that provides viscosity for marbling on fabric. Slowly sprinkle one teaspoon of Calgon and two teaspoons of Carageenan into a quart of water in a running blender. Mix as many batches as you will need at least 12 hours before marbling. 4oz Bag - $45.45 Jacquard No FlowNo Flow is an antifusant that will inhibit the spreading of dyes on fabric. It is particularly useful for drawing or writing with dye filled felt tip markers, fabric pens or brushes (with liquid dyes or paints). No Flow dries clear and rinses out with warm water. Apply No Flow with a brush or sponge to the entire area you wish to write on or paint. When dry, apply colors using the technique of your choice. Using No Flow for a signature or logo creates crisp, clear letters or images. After paint or dyes have been set, rinse No Flow out of fabric to restore original softness. 250ml - $10.40 |
