WHAT IS PRINT DAY IN MAY?

Print Day in May is celebrated every year on the first Saturday in May. The event celebrates the art and community of printmaking. It’s a day to get together in studios across the world to make prints. Join us as we take part in this international event, alongside tens of thousands of printmakers throughout the world spreading the joy of printmaking!

LIVE DEMONSTRATIONS

Saskatoon's MIX Print Collective will be in the store on Saturday May 3rd offering free demonstrations of lino block carving and printing throughout the day!

MAKE YOUR OWN LINO PRINT

MIX members will be printing throughout the day using their Woodzilla Press! Watch and learn how lino printing is done or, if you'd like to give it a try yourself, using one of their pre-carved blocks, you can ink and print your own!

MIX PRINT COLLECTIVE

MIX Print Collective is​ a student-run printmaking collective in Saskatoon, SK. Their members cover all print mediums including screen print, woodcut, linocut, intaglio, lithography, and more. MIX was created in 2015, born out of a strong community of new printmakers with passion to do exhibitions outside of the university gallery, share printmaking production knowledge with the public, and to raise money for studio improvements within the printmaking department. Click here for more information about MIX.
