Art Placement is delighted to host the EMMA International Collaboration Art Show and Online Auction! The Emma International Collaboration is an innovative workshop model for unstructured, creative collaboration between artists working in traditional craft and those engaged in contemporary methods. Affectionately known as "Emma," this biennial weeklong residency takes place at the Ness Creek Festival Site in Northern Saskatchewan--a place where form and function collide. Artists at various stages of their careers are challenged to explore medium, technique, and subject matter through hands-on collaboration and exciting creative processes.

Select art works created at the event will be on display and available for purchase through an online auction platform from August 8th to 15th. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of works goes towards supporting the EMMA Collaboration. Following the intensive week of collaborative art-making, a juried selection of pieces will be put on display at Art Placement Gallery in downtown Saskatoon for in-person viewing, and available to purchase through an online auction platform. An amazing opportunity to bid on unique collaborative art works in a variety of mediums including furniture pieces, sculptures, paintings, jewelry, wearable art, and more created by more than 60 national and international artists! The exhibition is free and open to the public, with a public reception on Thursday, August 8. Bidding will close at 6PM on Thursday August 15th.
