ZACHARI LOGAN - Meditations (Flora)

Art Placement is pleased to work with Zachari Logan to present the exhibition Meditations (Flora). Unveiling a brand new selection of works in a variety of media including drawing, painting, and ceramic, the delicate renderings offer dream-like visions of plant life by the acclaimed Saskatoon-born artist.

Canadian artist Zachari Logan works mainly with large-scale drawing, ceramics and installation practices, evolving a visual language that explores intersections between identity, memory and place. Logan has exhibited widely throughout North America, Europe and Asia and is found in private and public collections worldwide, including; National Gallery of Canada, Art Gallery of Ontario, McMichael Canadian Art Collection, Leslie-Lohman Museum, 21cMuseums Hotel Collection, Thetis Foundation and the Nerman MOCA, among others. Logan has attended many residencies; including Vienna's Museums Quartier, ISCP in Brooklyn, WaveHill Gardens (Bronx) and the Tom Thomson Shack at the McMichael Gallery. Logan has worked collaboratively with several celebrated artists, including Ross Bleckner and Sophie Calle and his work has been featured in many publications worldwide.

Please join us for a closing reception the evening of Thursday, December 2nd, from 5 - 7 PM. Logan will read a selection of poems from his collection, A Natural History of Unnatural Things, recently published by Radiant Press. The reading will begin at 5:30 PM, followed by an informal reception. Proof of vaccination will be required for entry to the gallery and masks must be worn at all times.
