Rebecca Perehudoff
Rebecca Perehudoff was born in 1953 and raised in Saskatoon. She first obtained
a law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 1978. Shortly after, Rebecca
left for Europe where she traveled and painted the sights of the countryside.
From the late 1970s to the present she has attended many of the Emma Lake Artists’
Workshops. She has lived in Chicago since the late 1980’s, where she studied
Printmaking at the Art Institute and Sculpture and Psychology at the College
of DuPage. She later obtained her Masters of Arts in Art Therapy at the University
of Illinois at Chicago. She has exhibited across Canada with shows in Vancouver,
Calgary, Saskatoon, Montreal and Toronto as well as her home town of Chicago.
Her work includes prairie landscapes and lake scenes using thick layers of acrylic
paint, loose gestural brush strokes and vibrant colour.
