Melvyn Malkin

Melvyn Malkin is an Architect and artist based in Saskatoon. He studied architecture at the University of Manitoba and the University of Pennsylvania. He also completed a BFA degree from the University of Saskatchewan in drawing and print making. He has attended Emma Lake workshops (1964, 1967) and international ceramic workshops (1991, 1993, 1996, 1997). He has exhibited drawings and paintings in numerous exhibitions since 1963, and his ceramic wall plates were extensively exhibited across Canada throughout the 1990s. His ceramic work was also part of a nationally juried selection of Canadian fine craft included in the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show in 2007. His works can be found in the collections of the Mendel Art Gallery, Saskatoon; Alberta Telephones; MacKenzie Art Gallery, Regina; Saskatchewan Power Corp, and numerous private collections.
