Lorenzo Dupuis lives and works in Saskatoon, SK. Lorenzo was born in Saskatchewan
in 1953. His formal studies in art took place at the University of Saskatchewan.
He completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1975, and a Masters Of Fine Arts
Degree in 1995. Lorenzo considers the Emma Lake Artists' Workshops to be
an important part of his development. He attended fourteen in all. Among the many
excellent workshops, the 1982 workshop with Stanley Boxer, and the 2003 workshop
with Karen Wilkin were the most memorable. Lorenzo's work has been recognized
in a variety of ways. He has received awards on three different occasions from
the Saskatchewan Arts Board. He has been reviewed in both French and English publications,
most notably, the winter 1999 issue of “Border Crossings”. His exhibition
record includes numerous group exhibitions, and over twenty solo exhibitions from
Vancouver to Montreal in both public and commercial galleries.
