Peterson, E. Wyle and C. Arnes. Her first show was at the Mendel art gallery in 1973 entitled “Three Sisters Show”, which combined the talents of Louise and her sisters Phyllis and Alice. She also attended the Emma Lake Summer Workshops since 1988 where she studied with William Perehudoff, Dorothy Knowles, Terry Fenton, Douglas Haynes and Kenneth Noland. She has exhibited mostly in Saskatoon and Regina, but also in Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. Her solo exhibition “Saskatchewan Paintings” at the Legislature Building in Regina was visited by Prince Edward Earl of Wessex. Her oil paintings reflect her intimate knowledge of the lakes, rivers, forests and valleys of Saskatchewan. She has the ability to look beyond the subject matter to give us her vision of the landscape.
