Leah Rosenberg

Leah Rosenberg has an affinity for color, stripes, flavor and the hospitable arrangement of mise en place.  Before it closed, Rosenberg worked as the lead pastry chef for the Blue Bottle Rooftop Cafe at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art where, through pastries, she helped interpret the museum's collection of modern and contemporary art. .

She received her BFA in Visual Arts from the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, British Columbia and her MFA from the California College of Art in San Francisco, where she wrote her thesis, titled “Milles Feuilles”, on the artistic possibilities of cake. Her stripe paintings, prismatic sculptures, thematic cakes, and site-specific wall installations aspire to delight our senses and have been exhibited in the San Francisco Bay Area, as well as in Los Angeles, Dallas, Canada, Poland, and Germany. She has been an artist-in-residence at the Vermont Studio Center, Montalvo Center for the Arts, and most recently the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art in Omaha, NE, for the Future of Food Thematic Residency.
