Drymounting
& Plaquemounting:
Dry-mounting is an excellent way to present posters, non-archival
photographs and decorative prints. It involves permanently adhering the object
to a rigid substrate (usually foam board) using a heat activated adhesive. This
process ensures that your object remains perfectly flat over time. Dry-mounting
is a great way to present materials for temporary display. For more permanent
presentation we recommend placing the dry-mounted object under glass in a frame,
or plaque-mounting.
Plaque-mounting is an attractive, inexpensive and durable
alternative to framing posters and documents. It involves permanently bonding
the object to a substrate of MDF (medium density fiberboard), then laminating
a protective vinyl coating which protects the surface against moisture and physical
damage.
